I liked how this book has a story and a journey for each of the chairs. Each chair represents where he is in his life. The first chair he made as a boy and is a little wobbly as he is still learning. On another chair he lacks the proper tools so needs to carve the chair legs by hand and that chair eventually became a money maker for an antique dealer. The language in the story is simple for young children. The illustrations are also lovely.
