While, at times, the writing leaves something to be desired there is "heart" in every moment of this story. It is easy to understand the motivations of the characters at any given moment. It is also always wonderful to read a story about a young woman using her brains to get ahead!

I love this book! It was my favorite book when I was growing up. I still love to flip through to the best parts. A story of a strong woman who dresses like a man and travels away from her family to become a trader. It also is a love story and a story of revenge!! I highly recommend it!
