Children's book. Ages 8 and up. All books are magic, but some are more magical than others. When Susan opens a strange library book, she discovers it is about her and her friends, leading up to the moment when she opened the book. Beyond that, the pages are blank...waiting for the children to wish the book full of adventures.

This book is a wonderful story of a group of children who checks out a library book and finds that the pages tell the account of them checking out the book. The pages are blank beyond that just waiting to magically fill up with their adventures.

My daughter and I loved this book. It involved magic, but also dealt throughout the book with the issue of human dignity in a way that was not preachy or way above a child's head. We also found that the characters were engaging and diverse (I particularly liked the grandmother).
