For maybe 10 min of privacy with DH?  Ugh we starred in our own comedic sex scene like right out a light hearted romance novel.

DH is feeling frisky.  We sneak off into the guest room down stairs.  DD is laying on my bed playing a new Nintendo DS game.  The puppy is asleep in her crate.  Ozzie is curled up on his doggy bed.  1st the puppy waits outside the room whining and then barking.   So I run out give both dogs a rawhide to distract them.    Then a few minutes later DD comes running down the stairs complaining about egg shells in her egg salad.   Get rid of her.  Few minutes later one the dogs starts drinking water-their bowls are right outside the spare room.  So we start laughing over this loud slurping.   THen the dogs start fighting over the raw hides.

Really was it too much to ask to have sex just one more time this year?

Sex?  Ack!  Don't even get me started on what you have to do in order to get a lousy half hour of uninterrupted time with the DH when you have two teenaged boys in the house.  It's not like when they were little and you could put Barney on the TV and sneak off into the bedroom for a few minutes.  Teenagers, as totally unobservant as they can otherwise be, ALWAYS know something is up when you're trying to sneak off & have sex.  Bastards:P

I don't have kids or nosy/noisy dogs but just remembering when I was 15, laying out tanning one afternoon in the backyard and hearing my mom's giggles coming from the open window in her bathroom, then my dad's laughter coming from the shower in the tiny bathroom.  Ewwww!  That is the first time I realized those two were still sexually active people and boy was I creeped out!  Wouldn't talk to either of them for a couple of days and just kept giving them those eye rolling disgusted looks that only a teenage girl can deliver only to have them look at each other and laugh at me:)

Definitely feel ya'lls pain though=)

Thankfully my kids go to bed early and we have no pets!  So we were able to bring in the New Year with a bang;).  Now we have been interupted a few times and that gets old real quick!

With 2 Teens and a "Tween," we get no time. If my husband just gives me a quick kiss, they start screaming that they are going to be scarred for life. Not that I blame them, I thought the same thing about my parents. However, I always tell them, "Would you rather have parents who love each other, or divorced parents?"

How many have had this scenario play out: After playing chauffer and finance person all day, I get a few minutes after the kids have gone to bed to read. I read a steamy scene and go to bed to get some. My husband is asleep and snorring! Not quite the scene I envisioned! Sometimes it seems the only time we get are those nights when you both wake up around 3 AM (and the kids are really asleep).

I have a friend who just sent her youngest off to college. They feel like newlyweds - anytime. Anywhere! They were dreading Christmas Break when their son would be home for Christmas!

We used to tell DS we were taking a nap and to not bother us.    Now he tells us to not be so loud when we nap!!

We did have a time when he was about 3 where DH and I were doing the deed....and he ran in an jumped on the back of DH and started demanding for  "horsey to giddy up!!"

I wish I could control the cats.  I have ticklish feet....cats rubbing on feet off the side of the bed causes injury with sudden fits of giggles.

LOL! We've never gotten quite that caught, though my son did run into our room once when we were in a rather indelicate position, though clothed. Which is where my RT quote comes from: "I'm making an unexpected appearance at the love party!"

My DH and I mess with the boys and give them fits.  He'll ask if we get to play "pirates" tonight, and I ask if he can handle the booty, and btw, has he had his eyepatch dry cleaned, cuz last time...  They make the appropriate retching noises and cover their ears:P

I suppose that's one nice thing about not having any kids.  The one problem we used to have was the cat trying to bite out toes during sex.  It tickled.

We got a little frisky late one night on the couch.  Clothes mostly still on-DD has been asleep for a couple hours. Usually once she's out, she's out.  But all of a sudden I hear "mommy why are you breathing so funny".  I can get a little um loud sometimes.
