This is a classic I have always read about and was surprised to see it for sale in the "bargain" section at Barnes and Nobel one day. It's a fun read because it shows the reader just how much times have changed...and stayed the same. I'm always interested anything that is related to women's studies, and I believe that is one of the first depictions of a "modern" woman after the feminist movement kicked off. I loved comparing Helen Gurley Brown's writing and personality with that of Kate White, the current editor of Cosmopolitan.

Was written before the show sex and the city but is supposed to be some what of an influence on the show.

This book, published in 1962, explored single womens' sexuality and was considered quite shocking in its day! This book is still a lot of fun to read-almost 45 years after it was published.
