Not my favorite of Karen Kingsbury's. Very predictable in what happens, I had the whole storyline figured out. The one thing I did like about it though was how she came to Christ and dealing with all her struggles after what happened. If there is a second in this "series" I don't see myself buying it but it was good for a quick read.

Karen Kingsbury is one of my FAVORITE authors! She truly has the gift of writing that comes from God. He speaks through her hands. So, I am excited about getting to review this book. It's not only by my favorite author, it takes place in my home state of North Carolina! A double bonus!

In Shades of Blue, Karen really touches hearts with this story of secrets, unresolved past issues, loss and forgiveness. Karen really packs this book full of lessons to be learned. Emma and Brad are the main characters in this book...the ones with unresolved issues, and a past that isn't so perfect. Added to these issues, Karen gives a powerful lesson on abortion.

I don't want to go into a lot of detail with this review of Karen's book, as I am sure to give away way too many spoilers and we don't want that! All I can truly say is this: Shades of Blue deserves so much more than a 5 star review (but I can only go with a 5 star review!), and so does the author! I highly, highly recommend that EVERYONE read this book....there is something in here for everyone, even if it is just to get closer to God. But there is one warning with this book (as it is with ALL of Karen's books): take a stock in TISSUES!!! You WILL need them!

Wow!!! Karen Kingsbury has done it again. She has written another book that makes you think about this book and it's character's.

I read this book in 3 days.I expierenced such intense emotions that I have never had when reading a book.I didn't want the book to end.

It was an awesome read. It's a story about forgiveness, about love, and trusting God's plan for your life. Then when one of the main characters is asking forgiveness God is revealing things in store for her.She has a feeling of peace and things are clearer.Isn't that a prayer we all have? To be given a feeling of peace with life's bump.

I finished this book about a month ago. I still cannot put the storyline out of my head. I highly recommend this book.In the end you will be sad and cheer for them for what God has shown them.Karen Kingsbury has been given a beautiful gift of writing. I always look forward to her books.

Karen Kingsbury did an exceptional job with this book! She took a topic that needs to be talked about and brought it out in the open (where it needs to be). Then she brings it all home with a Christ filled message! An Awesome book! I loved it!

An excellent book written about a very difficult topic, not only how a desperate decision affected the young woman, but also the man she always thought she'd marry, but didn't.
