Massie is a very talented writer. This book of short stories by her kept me engaged and interested. I get the feeling through many of her stories that she truly hates men and might not care for mentally challenged people. I actually feel like this is a person who should keep writing to keep herself busy or she'd be dangerous. You will see what I mean probably when you read this. Writing seems to be her therapy, but I hope she's seeing a therapist also. Her common theme in these stories is that men are horribly bad and retarded people are evil and murderous. I don't think she cares for overweight people either. I know its fiction, but dang this lady had me wondering. Anyway, I really enjoyed it because of her writing talent. If you like happy endings, skip this. If you are depressed, stay far away from this. If you can take hopelessness and despair in spades, and you enjoy horror stories about what goes on in the minds of the insane, you are in for some decent writing.

Amazing collection of horror short stories. A few were extremely creepy.
