Ohh, I seen this book at Wal*Mart the other day and the cover is just so gorgeous. I haven't read any of this series but I want this one just for the cover alone.

I'm on page 510. Totally finishing it today, even if I do nothing else!

I'm 53% of the way through. I have no idea what page that is as it's an e-book.

I kind of wish I'd gotten it as an e-book; the hardcover was HUGE!

Glad to hear high praises! I bought it on my Nook due to rave reviews and ratings and I was looking for a series without vampires. I was stuck on them heavy for the last six months. Already craving to get back to the Brotherhood series, but reading Darkfever first.

Anyone else reading it now?

I have the whole series but the last book, but have yet to even pick it up.  Which I also did with Kate Daniels and I started reading that a few days ago and have been addicted ever since.  I'm on book 4 right now and am sad that I have to wait until May for the next one and then probably another year for the one after that.  But maybe now that I'm almost done, I can get my work done.  LOL

I'm assuming everyone here loves the Fever series, so it would be dumb of me to ask.  But does it rank up there with the Kate Daniels and BDB series????

I've never read Kate Daniels.

Theres nothing as good as the BDB...lolol...but thats just me...their my absolute favorite!

If anything even came close to being as good it would be the Fever series. They are just as addicting. They do follow the same people throughout the series unlike the BDB books that focus on a different couple for each book.

I do recommend that you get ahold of that last book though before starting the Fever series. You'll probably want to read them back to back....they have KILLER cliffhangers.

I just finished the first one after reading this threat, have the next two already and already ordered the last two. Love it and can't believe that I had something this good for so long without reading it. Wonder what else is hiding in my TBR?

Amen to that, Monika.  I feel the same way about Kate Daniels and the Psy-Changeling series.  I love being pleasantly surprised when I find a series that blows me away, especially when I neglected to read it for so long.  And I'm talking years of neglect with those two series, which have quickly become two of my must haves.  I have hundreds of PNR books that I hear are fantastic and I keep ordering new ones instead of reading my TBR.  I probably don't have too many books that aren't WL'd and still they sit and wait, hopefully to surprise me one day.  LOL

I stayed up late last night with this book; got about halfway through--- it's definitely a page turner.

But I honestly think it is not as good as the earlier ones. It seems like she "jumped the shark" in some places, and overwrote other segments. I think it could be significantly shorter without losing much at all.

Too much is communicated through dialogue and Mac's  internal thought, rather than by doing (does that make sense?).

But in general, I love the series. I definitely think they need to readi n order, though. There are a few things referred to in this book  that I do not remember from the earlier books.

I just finished it last night, and it was great!

I do agree that there was a lot more internal dialogue than was needed, but it was a terrific wrap up to the series.  I had a rare "all by myself" day yesterday - which was a good thing, since at over 600 pages, it took all day to read!

This series conclusion reminds me of the tagline for a local Q&A radio show in my area that says "All questions answered. All knowledge revealed."

I bought it about a month ago and am challenging myself to keep my grubby paws off it for a while. Why? I don't want the series to end so if I just don't read the last book it won't be over yet:lol:    I'm glad to hear it's a winner but honestly I wasn't expecting anything less =)   This one is my favorite series--think I need to fill in my collection and replace the paperbacks w/ hardbacks now.  I think I'll only need to do that with two if I'm not mistaken:lol:

I just finished it and it was awesome. One of the best series I've read in a long time. I was sorry to see it enhd.

I don't think all questions were answered unless I missed something:  What is Barrons? I don't recall a clear answer to that one.

I think it wasn't answered on purpose. There was no need for her to figure out what he was, she knows who he is.

I think he is some kind of immortal shifter. That was best guess.

Courtney is correct. KMM posted something about that in one of her blog entries.
