Even though she's coming way north of Seattle, I've got it on my calendar. So excited!

You've got a longer drive than I do Mimi. I'll have to overnight it up there, I'd never make it home that late without falling asleep. Trying to work it out with my pal Michele. She's in Port Orchard, so checking ferry times.

I'm thinking that, since I'm going with a dear friend who lives further North, I may see if I can spend the night at her place afterwards and just head into the office from there the next morning.

You know, Carolyn...SKP's Princeton stop is just a hop, skip and jump from NYC on the NJ Transit train. I used to take the train up to NYC all the time when l lived right outside of Trenton. (But on the PA side of the bridge!) There's a stop on the train route not too far from the Market Fair. However, with that date on SKP's publicity tour being on a weekday, it might be tougher to get there and back after work for the 7pm event than it would to go on a Saturday or Sunday.

She ignored the southeast altogether. Nothing in Atlanta or Florida...that surprised me a little. There are some pretty big population centers down here with a lot of eager readers...

@ Mimi, I have a coworker who lives up in Shoreline, but I wouldn't impose on her that late at night. I see an Embassy Suites that's pretty reasonable and will book a room. Michele might have to head home no matter what the time depending on her husband's work schedule. Kidlets still need to go to school.

PS, stuck at work and it's a graveyard today. Watching the live feeds from the parade. That is a whole bunch of people.

Perfect! I think an Embassy Suites sounds wonderful.

Agreed - I listened on the radio, what a lot of people, but all seem to be well-behaved

@ Mimi, my favorite part was watching Marshon Lynch (sp?) On the hood of the duck truck taking video of the crowds and tossing skittles. My coworker just kept praying: please Don't fall, please don't fall, please don't fall. cheeky

I snuck out early before traffic went crazy.

Lauri,

Yes, why couldn't it be on a weekend?! Lol. There would be no chance of getting into Manhattan from Queens, where I work, in enough time to catch a train to Jersey. :(. Perhaps next time....

So, is she confirmed for the book festival in Tucson March 15th? Is that the way you read that?

Pooh, the one stop in Michigan is on the other side of the state frown  She came to Grand Rapids on her last tour and I missed it.

Nothing in Chicago or Indy or Milwaukee or Madison either.   I'd try to get to any of those cities.
