Book five of an eight book series about the Owl Gaurdians of GaHoole. Although fiction there is a great deal of information about different kinds of owls. The author has a great imagination! Suitable for Young Adult Readers.

Soren's sister Eglantine is falling under the spell of a strange nightly dream. Then, just as Soren notices her trancelike state, Eglantine disappears, and the dreams become a deadly waking nightmare that puts the Great Tree of Ga'Hoole in terrible danger. Soren must lead the Chaw of Chaws to rescue his sister. Thus begins the next battle between the owls of Ga'Hoole and the Pure Ones, deep in the treacherous territory known as The Beaks, where a raging forest fire will prove the greatest dang to the rescuers-and their best hope for victory.

Good book for 10-13 year olds. Book 5 of 5. I've also listed books 3 & 4. Misfit owls overcome odds and work together to become heros. Lots of action and mystery.

My daughter really liked this book; said it was very exciting (she's 8). I haven't read it myself, so I can't comment.
