Quite possibly the most boring Sherlock Holmes book ever written. Holmes solves the case of a missing girl quickly but leaves her where found as a means of learning more about the group of people that she has taken up with. What follows is a seemingly endless litany of correspondence between Holmes and the girl, which infuriates Watson to the point of recklessness in his concern for her well being. This forces Holmes into a desperate rescue attempt to save the lives of both Watson and the girl. Not Mr. Lovegrove's best treatment of our heroes I'm afraid.
