An excellent retelling of the Robin Hood legend. The wealth of historical detail provides both form and flavor to the tale, which is set at the time of the Norman conquest rather than during King Richard's reign. Godwin's books are always richly gratifying, and this one is no exception.

Another look at the legend of Robin Hood. One of the more interesting ones, I might add.
