I picked up this book Wednesday and started reading it. I couldn't get past the first thirty pages. The dialouge between the two main characters was so wooden and godawful I just couldn't keep reading it. Did anyone else enjoy it? Should I try again?

I haven't read a Robin Cook since the first one due to both wooden dialog and weird sexual overtones. Sorry to hear he hasn't improved.

I recently finished a book by Robin Cook about E. Coli and the hamburger industry. I thought the dialogue was good, it was a good book. Perhaps "Shock" was one of his earlier works.

It was one of the more recent. I read some Amazon customer reviews, and the consensus seems to be his earlier works are best. I might check some out eventually.

The early Cooks are the best. I used to devour his books like Coma, Brain, and Fever, but about ten years ago, I lost interest.
