4 cup flour
1lb. brown sugar
1 cup margarine
2 cups boiling water
1 cup syrup (like Mrs. Butterworth)
2 teaspoon baking soda
Combine flour, brown sugar, and butter; work into fine crumbs.
Reserve 1 1/2 cups of mixture for topping.
Mix boiling water, syrup and soda; add to remaining crumbs. Mix well.
Pour into 9x13 greased and floured pan. Sprinkle the reserved crumbs on top.
Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
