As the cover says"I don't see how you can go through this book without being convinced that Hemingway is the best short story writer."
The book contains the first 49 stories with a brief preface by the author.
A must for any Heminway fan!!
This is a terrific collections of Hemingway's works. Hemingway is one of the most influential writers of the early 20th century and one can gain a great knowledge of post World War I America by reading his material. The nice part of this volume is, being that it consists of short stories, one can read a few pages and come back to the book later.
Some are very short stories, some good, some more like outlines for a book he might have wanted to write, or maybe chapters of books he'd like to write. Works well for reading at bedtime, don't have to worry about not finishing a story.
