I'm not really fond of paranormal, but this book was very good. The psychic element was not so "over the top" to be unbelievable and outlandish. I'm looking forward to the second book in this series.

Can an art thief earn an honest living? Raven Callahan does, with the help of a rare psychic power that lets her read the emotions locked inside ancient objects. But when her partner is kidnapped and Raven is forced to steal a priceless masterpiece to save him, ESP takes a backseat to quick wits, steely nerves, and the lethal skills she needs to survive.

I enjoyed this book very much. Usually I have a hard time liking the tough as nails undercover females but this author make hers tough enough but not too tough. I'm looking forward to the sequel.

Raven Callahan can tell the history of the objects she touches and as a consultant for an art recovery co. she gets to steal. Dax Maddox is an es-cop who's partner was killed in an art burglary. Using both there skills they bring the murderer to justice. This characters are well developed and the plot twists and turns and the para-normal twist give the plot a bit of a jolt to separate it from the normal murder mystery
