This book teaches signs by showing a drawing of something then a drawing of the sign for it. There are no descriptions or clarification on the signs so some of them it is hard to tell what is going on with it. This would be a good book to use as a supplement for someone who already knows sign language teaching a child signs, with the sign drawings being a cue to the sign. It would be very difficult to use to learn sign language though. There is however at the back of this book a wonderful reference that classifies signs by the handshape. For example if someone made a sign that use the "Y" handshape and you did not recognize the sign you could look up under "Y" handshape and see a list of signs it could be that use that shape. Very useful if watching a video or such where you cannot stop and ask the person what that sign means.
