Once again, another story about Charlie and Diesel. I love these stories and Diesel is one of my favorite characters and his humans are fun also. The mystery was good, interlaced with another book, very nice and cozy. Pleasant reading.

Written on a 12 year old level. Constant inane comments about his cat (space filler). Author is on my do not read list.

Love this series! Charlie and his Maine Coon cat, Diesel, wind up in the middle of investigating a murder. The library where Charlie volunteers is hosting an event featuring girl detective series (ie Nancy Drew, etc). When the discover that one of his favorite authors is still alive, at almost 100, they engage her as a speaker. One of her biggest fans winds up dead and her agent missing. Light cozy reading at it's best!
