I really love the Wine Lover's Series and this is the thrid book. If you have not read the first two books...put this book down. Read the first two first or you will not appreciate this third book so much. I am DYING for the fourth book to come out. The ending of this book was a wow and my stomach twists when I think about it!
Wonderful series- mystery, murder and romance and suspense- what not to like.
The book is based on a winery and Nikki Sands stumbles onto another murder. While trying to find the murder, stay alive ; she still manages to find love.
This third book in the series is a bit of a departure from the first two. For one, Nikki's primary love interest is hardly present, and when he is, he takes a backseat to her other love interest. There are lots of great conversations in this one between Nikki and Derek's gay brother, Simon, and his lover, Marco. All in all, this is a good, clean cozy mystery and you won't be disappointed. Well...maybe with the cliffhanger Scott ends the book with. The fourth book can't get here soon enough!
Great mystery, love the character interplay, lovely setting, want to step inside!
Hayden is off to Portland for a college friend's engagement party. Almost as soon as she arrives, the fiancee is found dead. Hayden has still not recovered from her first encounter with murder, but she has a feeling that this was not an accident. Her friend was part of a food pod community focused on Chocolate. As Hayden gets to know the members of the pod, she becomes more and more certain that Declan was murdered.
This mystery kept me guessing who the culprit was. The small community kept the suspect list short, though. I learned a lot about fancy chocolate methods, which made it fun. I'm still not sure I understand Hayden's lifestyle, but this is only the second book, so hopefully things will become clearer. I will continue reading this series.
Once again a great Wine Lover's cozy mystery!
Michele Scott has done it again. I was stumped until the very end. Another great book. She leaves you guessing right until the very end. I just love the characters, especially Simon and Marco. A great read and I highly recommend it.
