Weak heroine, flat hero, and completely unrealistic plot. This would have been a DNF for me, but I was stuck on a plane with nothing else to read. My full review is here: http://scienceofromance.blogspot.com/2012/05/category-review-silent-awakening-by.html

Reviewer: M. Hartmann "abayyan" (Milan, Michigan United States) -

Strong, tough, ladies man [stud muffin] the rugged homicide detective Brady Tomasini falls hard for the emotionally weak Natalie Patterson.

But of course someone has tried to kill her. Natalie was sent from the CDC in Atlanta to the big city of New York. She is highly intelligent and dedicated to research but now has landed under the care of New York's finest.

Brady is not happy, his partner Detective Joe Stansky has a sneaking suspicion that Brady will not remain single after this case.

Dr. Wilson Gregory wants to keep Natalie at their research center in New York.
Charles Randolph, Natalie's collegue wants to take Natalie back to Atlanta, claiming he can protect her there. Actually he wants more than that from Natalie.

Here we have a killer without any conscience who gleefully wants to include Natalie in his plans take the scientific world by storm with their combined brilliance.

Stalked by a killer after discovering his nearly untraceable chemical weapon, scientist Natalie Patterson collided with one of New York's finest...rugged homicide detective, Brady Tomasini. The elegant scientist and the steel-hard cop should never have met. But now their fiery attraction was as undeniable as it was inconvenient.
