Pam S. reviewed The Silver Seekers: They Tamed California's Last Frontier (Silver Seekers) on + 55 more book reviews
"The Silver Seekers" is history in its most readable, narrative form, bringing life to characters and events that changed the development of the West."The Silver Seekers" is a 360-page soft cover book, handsomely bound in red and silver, well spiced with photos, maps, newspaper clippings, sketches and other illustrations. Easy to handle, easy to read, a good book to own.
The author, Remi Nadeau, who holds academic degrees in history, combines thorough research with a thoroughly readable style. Although California became famous for its gold rush, the subsequent silver rush was equally interesting. Nadeau does a good job of showing it, in this his ninth book.
