This book just didn't grab you at the beginning. I considered not finishing a few times, but it was an ok read. Author had too many missed opportunities to really dig deep with emotions and drama but didn't and left me waiting for more and then the book was over - even at the very last few pages was a huge opportunity for so many emotions but it just missed it.

Again, there were some good parts in the book and I did read it in one day so enjoy if you decide to read it

From the back:

"Amid the fire and fury of medieval France, they would defend their love to their last dying breath.."

"He is called the Silver Knight- a magnificent warrior who returns from the Albigenisian Crusades in glory and triumph to wed a woman he's never seen..

Within the stone walls of Mirail Castle, she dreams fo a courtly lover who will woo and win her. But the stranger who arrives is an arrogant, battle-scarred knight.

As the trumpets of battle sound, a man and a woman betrothed since birth become engaged in a passionate war of wills. Marguerite de Mirail sees this unyielding knight-errant as her enemy; Alain de Jarnac sees his exquisite bride as something he must tame- and bed. Now, in a land of ancient hatreds and darkest treachery, death could await them both...unless a wary knight learns the art of love, and a willful lady surrenders not just her pride, but her heart.
