Just a point of interest for me...maybe I'm the last to notice.  When the "% Similar" feature first came out, I was only 5-10% similar to most members, and only 20-30% range even for people who I knew had similar interests to me.

I just checked my buddy list, and no one is lower than 37%, and one is now up to 60% similar.  Is this because of updating the guidelines, or what?

Matt, I was wondering the same thing.  Sometimes I will look at their bookshelf or wish list and can't figure out why the percentage would be so high.

I think the similarity % may need some work still. I have one buddy who is 115% similar to me, yet I am only 100% similar to myself. Weird!

I think it has to do with more members rating books from their BIR pile.  Then as people post and order more books it also adjusts.

Wow, how can you be more than 100% similar to someone? That's like that Discovery Health show, "I am My Own Twin"!
