I got this book in a box of books swap -- I picked it mostly since the average rating was more than 4. This book is much more than a typical romance of a man needing a nanny for an adopted son --- There's elements of sibling rivalry, spousal abuse, and a heroine who was not always in the right growing up. Take a chance on it despite the title and book description - I don't think you'll be disappointed.

This was a really touching and emotional story. The relationship between the main characters was intense and believable. This story prompted me to seek out the rest of Ms. Stockham's books...
