This book is divided into an introduction, the poem itself, and an afterword. The introduction makes the assumption (or mistake) that the reader has already read the poem before and is just reading this translation. If you have never read the poem before, skip the introduction since it gives the plot away. Otherwise, the introduction is entertaining and informative. The afterward was much less so.
