This site pays you to write and they publish your work. That is how you get paid. It can take up to two weeks. But they will decided to publish your work.. They will pay you. Great site. I just found it, but my friends really like it.

Has anyone here done this? How does it work as far as building a resume? I like making money as much as the next guy, but I'm also trying to get a resume of published credits going so when I finish my novel I can find an agent. |

Can anyone elaborate? I'm a little shy about signing up for stuff anywhere, never mind on-line. What exactly are they looking for...or not looking for. I'm thinking some of us may not have anything to offer. |

Your best bet is to go to the site and browse around. They have updated lists of specific article topics they're looking for, but ultimately you can submit pretty much whatever you want. There's a little bit of everything in all genres posted. Obviously the stuff they're going to be most likely to pay more for will be either articles on hot-button or headline issues, articles with general appeal, stuff like that. But it's wide open. |

Go, Associated Content. It is a great place to write and get published. I just wish I had more ideas and more time! Sandra |

I tooled around on AC, and what I've found is I earn more for articles I came up with on my own rather than the calls for content. Especially those that are not time-sensitive. Also, Helium is another site where you can earn, but only a minimal amount unless you win their weekly contests. They are trying to improve earnings, though, and have additional requests for content from various magazines, online forums, etc. that pay significantly better. |

Oh, I just might have to check this out. I've always been interested in finding a place where I could publish something and it be read. Being paid for it is just an added bonus. Thanks for the link. |

That's pretty cool. Are we talking about a couple of dollars or more? Also who's paying for this? Ads on the page maybe? It just seems silly for them to pay people when people would submit stuff for free. Last Edited on: 1/25/09 10:11 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

This is no longer the case, associated got gobbled up by yahoo and did not inform (email) users to create new yahoo log in. Users had 30 days to comply. And since this hapened in the summer (vacation time) many users faild to realise what hapened. Now our own writting is inaccesable for yeas to come until yahoo deigns to delete 'unused' accounts. And you are no longer paid per view either. It has gone from reputable publishing place to gossip pages.
Look for aother alternatives.

Thankyou Lenka for that update. I have noticed a big decline in the content presented by yahoo, now it makes sense. |

Does this mean that Yahoo now owns the work submitted and paid for? If later down the road, say 2 years, I wished to use an agent to sell a collection of my work which was published here prior, I wouldn't be able to because it isn't owned by me anymore?? |
