"An island village off the coast of Maine is the landscape for a love story as rocky as the coast itself... A sensitive novel, rich in scenic detail and in the turbulance of human longing." --Elizabeth Hardwick

This book was alittle bizarre for me- the mother of the skater gets hit in the face with a hockey puck and the story goes on from there-
