The Luxor Dance Hall has seen a lot over the past hundred years. From Vaudeville, through the big bands and up to the hottest rock acts , the Luxor had them all. It's closed now , a boarded-up relic, standing alone in run-down industrial part of town. But the old dance hall isn't empty. A hideous presence lives there ,a monstrous evil that has the ability to invade people's fantasies and nightmares ...and bring them to life .Three strangers will soon learn the extent of the dance hall's power. As their lives become more and more entangled in its inescapable web , they will come to see that what haunts the Luxor is far worse than any ghost.

An abandoned theater that mysteriously calls to people and is haunted by a strange, deformed monster. A teenage couple with an unplanned pregnancy. A man looking for his former girlfriend who disappeared years ago. All these elements and characters come together to create a good horror story.

This is not my favorite book by Simon Clark, but its still a good read. Definitely worth it.

Received this book and found I had already read it. Good story, but a bit long winded.

So begins Simon Clark's fascinating book, part horror, part science-fiction, a story with an unusual plot and a host of interesting and very human characters. The story centers around The Luxor Dance Hall, an old abandoned concert hall. People from all walks of life are drawn to it, drawn to come inside and some never come back out.Three strangers discover they have been drawn here for a singular purpose, but they are not the only ones. It was a very good story and I will be checking out more of Clark's books.
