It was a hard decision. I'm sure I'll buy another at some point, but this works for now. :) I have wallpaper that matches now, I just haven't uploaded a pic of that yet. |

Megan, from what I've read, you can re-apply the skin, using a hair dryer to soften it. I have a skin on my K2, but my Sony 350 is so small (and silver chrome-like) that I don't want one on it. I was afraid that my white K2 would start looking dingy from finger prints. |

I have this one:
I like it but there is a bit of overlap on the rounded corners of the nook. It is staying on very well. ETA: it was $10 including shipping on Amazon. Last Edited on: 1/2/11 12:15 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

I tried taking the skin off and reapplying since B&N had to replace my defective Nook. No, it wasn't going back on and yes I tried the hair dryer trick. |

Barbara, the decalgirl website has them listed at $14.99. I don't know if they charge shipping though. Sheila, that one is really pretty! I'm trying to pick one that I won't get bored with after time. Also, since I'll be using it in my case, I probably won't see the back of it very often. So I'm trying to choose based more on the front of the skin. |

I love the decalgirl skins! If you "like" them on Facebook they often offer specials to fans. Here is the one I have:

Yea, they had to replace it a couple weeks after I received it. The 3G suddenly stopped working. They couldn't fix it with the trouble shooting, so they replaced it with another refurb. No issues with this one so far. |

Hmmm. I have a leather book like cover for my Sony, but the top flap doesn't stay together with the back very well in my purse, and I don't like the idea of purse dust and scratchy stuff getting into my reader. Maybe I'll make a cloth cover with a tab to keep it shut. I've found it's really more about feel than looks while you're reading, and I've made suedecloth covers before for paperbacks. It has a cozy feel to it, and I like the slightly retro look, especially on electronics. The only time I wish my sewing machine did embroidery is when I make book covers. I like the idea of making a book like cover, and putting a "title" like War and Peace on my skinny reader, or covering a trashy potboiler with a leather-look cover of The Iliad. Take that you book snoops! |
