When I sorted my wish list by Author, the total tally of books on the wish list is displayed incorrectly. I have 190 something books on wish list, and when sorted by Author, it says the total is 175 books.
However, all the books are clearly there and displayed as such on four pages. This behavior appears to be reproducible, e.g., I sort by Estimate and see 190+ book total, then I switch back to by Author,
and again see 175 etc. Anyway, no big deal - also, I'm a huge PBS fan.
This is a known issue. It happens with all the lists, not just the Bookshelf. Books without authors in the Author field are not included in the list and not counted. If you search your list (when not sorted by author) and find all the books without authors listed and do a data edit to add the author, once the edits are approved you will no longer see the issue on your shelf.

To do a data edit, click on the title, then on "more options" --> "edit book data. If there is an obvious author, you would list it. If there are several authors, list them and separate them with commas. If you can't find an author at all, find a logical substitute -- sometimes we use the publisher. And you can explain why you are doing that in the "reason for edit" box.
It may be several days before your edit is approved, and perhaps a day or two more before the change shows up when you sort your books.
As well as correcting the listing for yourself, you'll be correcting it for anyone else who want to post that book.
