So I'm looking at books on Amazon and reading the review for Slumdog Millionaire, since the movie did so well at the Golden Globes.  Then, I notice the author's name looks familiar and when I read the synopsis, it is the same as a book I have on my shelf called Q&A by the same author.  It is one of the first books I WL'ed when I joined this site.... I had no idea that was the basis of that movie (assuming it is).  Well, now I have more motivation to read it soon.

Did anyone else read it or see the movie?  How was it?

Slumdog Millionaire is indeed based on the novel Q&A by Vikas Swarup.  I haven't read the book or seen the movie, but I've heard that the movie is great, even though it does deviate slightly from the book.

The movie is AWESOME!  Run ... don't walk ... to your nearest movie theatre to see it.  It's not all 'sunshine and roses' - but few good movies are.  The plot, the actors, the music - all fabulous.
