Occasionally I come across a book that has been translated. It happens once in a while that the translator is listed first for some reason and an author search for the book will not work.

By the same token on audio books the narrator is sometimes listed first instead of the author. Don't know though if the same problem exists if you try a search by the author with the narrator coming up instead, but I wish that they'd put the author first. Same for anthologies or multiple authors in a book - wish they were listed alphabetically instead of whatever.

Occasionally, the listing will come that way from the database, but more often, that data (narrators, translators, etc) is not included, so requires an edit.

The 'system' occasionally and randomly switches names around to suit itself.  The edit 'approvers' make sure the author name is first, followed by translator, or illustrator, or narrator, or ---

Most of them stay that way, BUT even if they don't, it should NOT affect the search by author name.  When there are multiple names in the author field, and they are separated by commas, each and every name should be searchable.

eta: with anthologies of more than 3-4 authors, we try to find the editor and put that name in the author field and then list the authors in the description field - so it might be helpful to put an author in the keyword search field if you aren't getting the results you expect using the author field.
