A great read, well written, good characters, with some very imaginative parts. All the Smoke series is excellent. Tanya Huff, who also writes for children, maintains a high moral code throughout her books, although in her adult books she touches on sex, murder, etc. Definitely worth a read.

Tanya has gone back to Heney Fitzroy again with Tony tagging along. She sends them to Vancouver this time around. It's a great read, haunted house and all.

Second in the series. Darkest Night is taping a haunted house episode in a house that turns out to be both haunted and possessed.

Very interesting and imaginative story. Author's writing style is lacking in technical merit though.

Second in the Tony Foster series, which is a spin-off from the Vicki Nelson/Blood books. I think you'd be confused by the relationships, as well as the numerous mentions to the first in the series, if you started here. I was disappointed in this book. It suffers from the same problem of the last one - once Huff gets the plot going, she just repeats the same scene over and over again. So, the TV crew is trapped in a house which is trying to get them to kill each other. Over and over, someone disappears, Tony and one other person have to go rescue them, they get back and then it starts again. This really drags on. The two little girls are supposed to be annoying, but Huff has made them too much so; as a reader I wanted to toss the book just so I wouldn't be subjected to them any longer. Henry shows up for one convenient plot point although the interaction between him and CB has promise. I was hoping for more of Tony's wizardry, but what was there didn't grab me either. What I did like a lot was Cassie and Stephen, they were interesting ghosts and had more character than many of the flesh-and-blood people. It's also got fun snarky dialogue and a lot of pop culture references of the time. But it wasn't enough to make me go on, I won't be reading #3.
