This is the story of an X-policeman who becomes a detective. He loves pulp fiction and admires the detectives he reads about. His approach to life is uncomplicated, remove the bad guys and fight for what is right. He has a good reputation, but he only gets enough clients to hobble along financially. This does not dissuade him from continuing to do good. His approach does not go over well with his lady who thinks he's like a kid playing a super hero role that doesn't fit him. In this story a child is kidnapped and he is hired to complete the drop off of the ransom money. In the process he gets hurt and lands in the hospital and the child is not returned as it appears the wrong person may have taken the money leaving another man dead at the scene. Nameless is asked to continue on by the man who loaned the mark the money to try and track down the kidnapper. He solves the case.
