Snipp Snapp Snurr and the Red Shoes Author:Maj Lindman This story of three little Swedish boys has been a favorite with American children for a number of years. Up to the present time mothers and teachers have had to make their own story to go with the pictures, as there has been no adaptation in English. The appeal of some picture-story books is variable, but that of SNIPP, SNAPP, SNURR seems to be... more » constant. Once it has been read to a group of four or five year olds it is worn threadbare by constant contact with young "readers."
The pictures are gay, simple and childlike. The pleasant little story holds the interest of children throughout. It is one of the few stories we have in which children actually do something for someone. All these factors, plus the already established popularity of the book, should place it high on the lists of books suitable for very young children.
