England 1860
I always enjoy Karen Ranney and this was no exception. I also love it when the hero / heroine are married at the beginning and they have to work their way through issues.
This was a bit different however in that the hero knew from the start he loved the heroine. (Or at least had a good idea.)
Watching how he turned her around to his way of thinking - mostly after the inital, but not unexpected, tradegy- was very interesting.
You gotta love a guy that will do what ever it takes for a woman.

This is the story of Douglas, a self-made man who experiences love at first sight. The object of his esteem is a Sara who has never known love except from her mother who is dying. Her stoicism is hard to breach, but through his patience, humor and caring they become soulmates. There are a few mysteries to clear up which help us understand Sara. I thoroughly enjoyed this story.
