Really a beautiful book. The main character, Gala, is a Julliard-trained oboist who is trying to overcome a recent performance failure. Riddled with anxiety, she fumbles through auditions and practices, unable to regain her former confidence and composure. To make matters worse, her parent's 28 year marriage is ending, and as the only child, she is stuck in the middle.
