I just want to say thank you to everyone who cares for a loved one. My case is not extreme; but I still cannot drive, cook, do laundry, or do many other household chores. I'm not quite so medically fragile as I was, but there was also a time I needed dressing changes, etc.. My DH has been more than wonderful through all of it, as I'm sure you all are with your loved ones. In fact, I have to remind him pretty often that there are still small things that I can do for myself, and around the house, and that it's good for me to do as much as I'm able. Anyway, thanks, and kudos to all of you, for all of the things you do every day that make such a huge difference in the lives of us who are unable to do them for ourselves. |

Ann, Thank you for sharing that lovely thought. I have a disabled child I care for and my husband just recovered from cancer this year. How blessed we all are to be able to help those who need it and, in our turn, receive help. I will keep you in my prayers! |

I been a caregiver now for over 30 yrs, Right now I care for a 90 yr old lady who is my friend too. I been doing this so long I am thinking she will be the last person I shall care for. but who knows.. health willing and gods helps maybe she will live till 120 :)
