I got a request for a book.  I printed out the label with DC while I was at work and went ahead and marked it mailed.  I was going to grab the book from my shelf when I got home and put it in the mailbox.

Well.  When I went to grab the book from the shelf, I discovered a small amount of water damage.  This book is unpostable, but it wasn't when I posted it.  I'm not sure what happened.

Anyway, I PM'd the member.  I told her the book was still very much readable, and I would send it to her if she still wanted it - and of course I would give her her credit back.

So even before she responded, I gave her the credit back.  I have already gotten my credit because I used DC.

My question is this.  Credits are straight, but the book still shows "enroute."  What should she/I do to make it better?

She did message me back and said she still wants the book, so I think all is well as far as that goes.

go ahead and send it to her and she can mark it received when she gets it since you already got your credit because of the DC and have already resolved the issue and gave her the credit back.

I'd mail the book and have the recipient mark it RWAP (it is technically a problem). Then ask the member to please mark the "Problem Resolved" in the transaction archive, since you've already refunded the credit.

Clear as mud?

Makes perfect sense!  I'll pass it along.

the recipient shouldn't mark it RWAP since she agreed to accept it like that...

I was going to say the same thing....why should she mark it RWP if she agreed to accept it and has already gotten her credit back?
