Has this ever happend to anyone using PBS DC?

Last week I mailed two separate packages of books and used PBS DC. I believe I printed out the labels at about the same time. Package 1 is perfectly normal-- it was scanned at the distribution center and appears to be on its way. Package 2 has nada. There's a DC # assigned, but there isn't even the message "Electronic Shipping Info Received" with my location as a starting point. I thought that detail was automatic... (And there also have been no scans of the package-- which, by itself, isn't particularly unusual or alarming, but I wonder if you need that initial "shipping info" starting point for anything else to register...)

I had 3 books in the past week that have done the same thing.  I know they were scanned because I watched the PO employee scan them but there has been nothing on the "details".  Of the 3 packages one has arrived and it never showed a scan.  I figure it is just a glitch.

Hmm... Well, at least I'm not the only one. I'll submit some feedback, in case it's an error in the PBS code...

Yes, this happened to me. I wrote to R&R to ask about it because I got my quick credit for the other one when it was scanned. I just emailed them the USPS tracking stuff to show it was scanned... it appears to have never been scanned yet at all. If you look it up at the USPS, though, it shows it was... They did give me my credit for it, since it was scanned twice since I took it to the P.O.

Good idea, Allie! Thanks! I went to USPS, and the DC was scanned at the distribution center, and it's still en route. Good to know there's another source for the DC details in the unlikely event of a lost book...

I don't even go to the USPS web site... UPS, USPS, and FedEx numbers input into Google's search box will spit out a link to track, a link you can bookmark (sometimes the sites themselves do not put the tracking number in the URL and you have to keep putting it in).
