This was posted locally, but it is beginning to be spread nationally. Maybe some of you would like to participate. Chalk Hill is the name of the school which is being fixed up for the Sandy Hook students when they eventually go back to school. The PTO is trying to make it festive for them.Pat |

Send snowflakes to Sandy Hook
The Connecticut Parent-Teacher Association encourages students to be as creative as possible, remembering that no two snowflakes are alike. Please make and send snowflakes by Jan. 12, 2013 to the Connecticut PTSA, 60 Connolly Parkway Here are some tips from Martha Stewart on how to make paper snowflakes. The Connecticut PTSA is also collecting monetary donations for the “Sandy Hook Fund” to provide ongoing support to the community. Please send checks to the Connecticut PTSA address listed above. The PTSA also encourages group fundraising projects, like walk-a-thons, spirits days, pajama days, etc., which may be scheduled at your convenience. Student-run coin drive donations should be submitted by Feb. 14. If your school decides to do a group fundraising project for Sandy Hook, please let us know. The Newtown community has requested only monetary donations at this time. For service or product donation inquiries, contact newtownboe@gmail.com. To contact Sandy Hook PTA, email sandyhook@ctpta.org.

I'm so not creative. I did find a pewter snowflake ornament in stuff I inherited from Mom but I'm thinking that's not quite what they're looking for. |
