I received a wl book today. The person wrapped notebook paper around the p/b and taped it to the book. I tried to carefully remove tape and paper but the cover was damaged. The top part of it came off..the color came off with the tape. I can't post the book, it is readable though. It's probably postable but I bet someone would complain if I sent it. Should I write and just say maybe not to tape anything to book covers? Most folks don't like pm's suggesting anything but it might be helpful. What do you think? Yes, I'd say something. Pretty sure the help docs say not to tape anything directly to the book. |

Technically I believe you are allowed to RWAP if the cover is damaged when unwrapping a book because the wrapper was taped directly to the cover. So yes, I would definitely mention it to the sender. I just had someone do that at SADVD. Thankfully I realized it and was able to remove the wrapper without damaging the case, but I had to remove the packing tape veeeeery slooooowly from the case in order to do so. |

I had the same thing happen to me in September......the damage was minor and I wasn't planning to repost the book but I did admonish the member about not taping directly to the book. |

Yes, I would definitely send a note. If you aren't marking it RWAP or asking for your credit back, then you should mention what you AREN'T doing and let them know that many members would expect to get their credit back since the sender didn't follow the rules. That sounds rather stark, but I'm sure you can do it in a nice way! |

Thank you. I'll send a little something..maybe it will be met in the spirit intended since I don't want my credit back nor am I marking it RWAP. |
