I believe this is the recognized classic work on the apparitions of the Virgin Mary to Bernadette Soubirous at Lourdes, France in the mid-19th century. Very well written. Puts a human face on a well-known supernatural phenomenon. Adapted into an oscar-winning film mid-twentieth century. Interesting reading for those who value a good story regardless of their religious affiliation.
