Great price for a great reader!

I see the price here at Amazon but its supposedly also that price on the Sony web site.

I've read this can be hacked and used as a good wi-fi tabled, black and white of course.

I've only messed with mine a little bit, since I'm not into browsing on an eink machine. But the browser it came with worked pretty well. I could even come to Paperback swap without a hack or anything.

And so far has been using the MicroSC card a lot better than my older model did. Don't have to wait days for it to index, just a minute or so. Side-loading to the card still takes a while though, which I've found for almost any eReader.

I really like mine so far, although it hasn't been a week yet.

CIndy does it come with a stylus and can I write on the screen? I played with a sony (dont remember the model) that allowed me to write on the screen but it did not have wifi (that was the only reason I did not like it).

That would've been the Sony Touch xengab.  I have one of those.  I didn't want or need WiFi (too tempting to browse and buy ebooks that way).  Love my Sony Touch!

Yes, the Sony T1 does, but the stylus isn't stored on the device itself. It has more of a curved 'clip' on the end apparently to fit on a cover. But I thew mine back in the box because I don't use them. So I'm not sure how 'handy' they'd be on a case or what case they'd fit. I've only seen one other mention of them so far, and it was that it didn't fit the non-Sony case they'd gotten.

I played with a sony (dont remember the model) that allowed me to write on the screen but it did not have wifi (that was the only reason I did not like it).

That was the original reason I liked the older Sonys, no wifi! smiley This one has wifi, but first thing I did was turn it off. ( I turned it off on my Kindle and Kobo as well.) So other than it has wifi, afraid I can't tell you much about it.
