I would like to hear about what anyone that has read this series and what they think.  I love the Stephanie Plum books - are these like those?

I have read them all.  It is a different kind of book (IMO) compared to  the Step Plum books (which I have also read).   Sophie is more mature, not as much humor or maybe different kind of humor,  though she does get herself into perdicments.  I don't think the chemistry between Sophie and Anatoly Darinsky is as strong as Steph, Ranger and Joe, though they are good together.  I enjoyed the books, I would recommend them to read.  Just don't expect a Stepahnie Plum type book.

If you haven't read these - I think they were closer to Steph Plum books:   Lori Avacota: The Pauline Sokol Mystery Series (there are 6 - Lori's publisher stopped printing mysteries);  Gemma Halliday:High Heels Mysteries; and Victoria Laurie: Psychic Eye Mysteries

I like the Sophie Katz books, and it's interesting to see a cozy series with a mixed race (AA-Jewish) herione.

ETA:  One of my favorite details is that her cat's name is Mr. Katz.  For some reason I just really like that.
