This was the first of Ms. Willey's books that I have read. Since then, I have ordered more of her books. Her style is unusual, but keeps you hooked all the way through to the unexpected ending. I look forward to reading more by this talented author.
Much better than the average fantasy. Obviously influenced by Zelazny's Amber series without being annoyingly derivative. The only problem with this series is that Elizabeth stopped writing after she finished the sequel to this book: "The Price of Blood & Honor."
