Some of my favorite fantasy series. Raistlin is six when he is enrolled in a school for the study of magic where he comes to see magic as his salvation. But he must take the Test in the Tower of High Sorcery before he can become a wizard. It will change his life forever if he survives.

I am a Raistlin fan, so I have yet to meet a book about Raistlin I did not like. A dark, sadistic mage seeking to be come the greatest wizard the world has ever known.

hands down my favorite Dragonlance book out of every single one ever printed! even the original trilogy. Raistlin is such a complex and compelling character that he needed his own books! and thats where the Raistlin Chronicles come in. I loved this one, it explains so much. Especially how he became bitter towards his brother Caramon.

I give this 5 stars out of 5 for sure!

Interesting addition to the Dragonlance series. Raistlin has always been a fascinating character, and it was intrigueing to go back in the history to see what made him into what he became later in the series.

A mage's soul is forged in the crucible of magic.

Raistlin Majere is six years old when he is introduced to the archmage who enrolls him in a school for the study of magic. There the gifted and talented but tormented boy comes to see magic as his salvation. Mages in the magical Tower of High Sorcery watch him in secret, for they see shadows darkening over Rastlin even as the same shadows lengthen over all Ansalon.
