Subject: Spam emails from PBS?

I received six automatic emails from PBS this morning, all stating that a book similar to a wish list book was now available.

The email notes, "This is NOT the exact same book you are wishing for, but rather a different binding type of the book."

However, all six books offered were by different authors, different genres, different bindings and in two cases they were audio CDs.

These books were not "similar to my wish" in anyway what-so-ever.

These six emails are of no use to me, they are infact nothing more than spam.

This is not the type of communication I have come to expect from PBS but it will make me reconsider my membership if it continues.

Anyone else experienced this?

You can turn off those emails under Settings.

I haven't received any that weren't actually related to my WL, but maybe there is a system glitch that caused that to happen.

I agree that there must be a glitch--you can notify the site owners using the CONTACT US link at the bottom, right hand side of the page.  I very rarely receive any of those emails, and when I do they are always a different version of a book on my WL--not just a random book.

FANTASTIC SERVICE.

Unlike the shoddy service I have come to know and expect PBS answered my email with a confirmation of my complaint an

apology and their solution - in less than one hour.

Well done PBS - that's what I'm talking about!

Rather than remove my original post, I'm going to leave it here for others to see. I am so very impressed.

I wish you all the 99% flawless trading that I love here at PBS.

Definitely a glitch in the system this AM. Hubby got several also tellling him that other books were now available.

What was their solution, David? If I may ask?

It's probably a glitch :)  It seems like things get a little wonky sometimes when something new comes on the site.  There have been a few new features added the last couple of days, and the day they were added seem to coincide with a couple of glitches.
