This story kept me riveted, so that I lost much sleep on the business trip I purchased this book for. At 695 pages, I was still reading into the wee hours of the morning(s) even after I returned home. Spandau Phoenix is an historical "what if" story that truly stretches the imagination beyond the reader's limits of credibility, making it incredible. I can't help but wonder how World War II wouold have turned out if this story were true: is the author capable of just great story-telling, or does he know something about world politics and history that I don't?
