I have been a bit remiss in my attention to the HF forum this year (in spite of my wonderful meet-up with Deb in May!) I've gotten stuck in two door-stoppers that slowed me down, plus I am training for my first half-marathon (who's crazy idea was that?!?!) so that has eaten up a lot of my free time. This is about the time I usually start putting something together for the annual challenge, but I would LOVE LOVE LOVE for someone else to take it over this year. It is time to pass the torch! Any takers?? |

Yay, Carolyn!!! It's all your's! Let me know if you need anything from me. It has always been my dream to run the Disney marathon before I turn 50. There is no way my hips and knees would hold up for that, and I don't have the time to train for something that long. But a half-marathon....13.1 miles....is do-able. The farthest I've run so far is 6.2, but I'm adding some every week. And this is my last chance to do it before I turn 50. So hopefully, on January 11, I'll be greeted by Donald Duck at the finish line of the Walt Disney World Half Marathon! |

Thanks, Carolyn for taking over the challenge! And Christa, good luck with the training!! I just ran my first 1/2 mary four days ago. I still have some tiny hopes of running a marathon some day, but I don't know. In the meantime, I will probably run a few 1/2s every year, because I like that distance. |
